Adjust how incoming SMS messages are assigned to threads

At this time the system assigned new incoming SMS messages from clients to the thread that was created most recently. This can cause some confusion as message threads are generally sorted by which has the most recent message, rather than which was created most recently (i.e. the first message on the thread).
This request is to adjust how SMS replies are handled, placing them on the thread with the most recent message rather than the thread created most recently.

The message inbox is challenging to navigate with so many individual message threads generated for each client correspondence. A primary reason to use CRM software is to simplify messaging into one place to avoid things falling through the cracks. It is often hard for me to find a particular message thread even when I am intentionally searching for it. If the message inbox could just be like any other standard message inbox like sms text or Facebook messenger it would be so much easier to keep track of communication and be able to reference past messages in one simplified thread

It would also be nice when sending out messages to clients if we could choose at the time of sending if it is going out as an email or SMS. Yesterday I had a booking that the client had previously received 2 emails, then the day of an SMS reminder 2 hours before appointment. She wanted me to send her a link so I went to her file and added the link on the thread of three messages, intending to send it as an email but then it sent as an SMS. Your bot tells me I don't have the option to choose.

Right now in my mobile inbox I have various threads from single clients - it seems as though new threads are generated for single messages that are sent? This is extremely inconvenient and makes it challenging to track single client correspondence throughout our history working together. I think it is essential that this is simplified so it works just like a text message inbox
